abuseThis was spectacular. I love your answer to why Tonks was the way she was in HbP. All in all, this was very chilling, and very real. I loved every moment of it.

abuseoh! that was deep! you had some very dark stuff happening there, but you wrote it well. i thought that ted's mother making them marry seemed a little odd - my opinion was, after reading the books, that ted really loved andromeda and he wouldn;t have needed to be made to marry her by her mother - but that's just me.
well done!

abuseIncredible. So gut-wrenching and deeply moving. Andromeda's anger and fear and sadness practically leaps off the page. I wanted to throttle her for what she did to her daughter (and to Remus), but at the same time I could sympathize with and understand why she did it. The narrative style of jumping back and forth in time doesn't usually appeal to me, but you used it to great effect here.

abuseOuch. I'm crying now... how horrible that Andromeda thought she needed to do that.

This is a wonderful 'fic. It's perhaps the darkest thing I've been able to read all the way through.

I don't know what else to say. This really hit me hard and, cry-baby that I am, I need to go get a tissue...

abuseIt was good, I don't like it, but it's good. Suppose I don't like it because I prefer to think of Andromeda as dead rather than inactive, which is easier.

abusewow. this has really hit home for me, because i went through a similar experience myself (tonks' position, not andromedas). this has been a very vivid protrayal of what i had gone through and could not help crying when it was over. please take that as a compliment because for a long time, i have not been able to feel anything, and this as reawakened my emotions. thank you.

abuse-shudders- That was horrifying, perhaps the darkest fic I've ever read. I've never seen that kind of characterization with Andromeda before and I have to say: scary and yet somehow canon. Breathtaking.

abuseInteresting and dark and ambiguous -- all good things! An original take on Andromeda and Tonks and Lupin.

abuseThis was probably one of the most depressing stories I've ever read in my life. Wow. However, I still liked it.

abuseOMGZ PRO-CHOICE I HATE YOU SO MUCH BLASPHEMY!

.. only not. nice job--a little rushed at points, but very introspective. good character development. i think your take on the HBP-tonks is the most creative and honest i've read--i'm picky about my tonks fics.

i suppose you'd rather have hate mail to laugh at, but i liked this.

abuseWow! What a thought provoking story. I wonder if Tonks will ever learn the truth, based on the events at the end of HBP. I could see Remus deciding not to tell her.
Would welcome a follow up.

abuseI had a hard time following the storyline until Tonks came to her mother, grieving over Sirius and Remus leaving her. I am a bit confused though. Why did Tonks get an abortion? Or did she just get injured in the DoM and lost the baby?

I don't agree with abortion, but I think you did very well with the issue, showing some of the complications of such an act as well as the causes.

Though I was a bit confused, the story was very well written and I loved the parallels between Adromeda and Tonks

abuseVery Good. I like how it fits so neatly into canon. Well thought out. A very disturbing look at Andromeda. Just feel terribly for Remus and Tonks. Tragic.

abuseGood God. You're braver than I. Wow. Another person who suffered a Catholic upbringing and education (though it wasn't that bad, really.) I thought this was utterly disturbing, as I'm sure it was meant to be, and I applaud your interpretation of Tonks's "hair problem" in HBP. Actually, I applaud the whole thing. I really didn't like Andromeda at all; she's got the Black cruelty and the conviction that her will is best, but she's deluding herself that she's trying to help. At least the other Blacks aren't/weren't hypocrites. And I felt so sorry for Tonks, and poor Remus too.

abuseScrew the pro-choicers and the pro-lifers. The real meat and potatoes of this story is simpler and much more important: That there was a reason Tonks was so sullen in HBP besides mourning over a failed/non-existant relationship. Let's get real people, just because JKR sunk your 'ship doesn't mean you have to paint Tonks as a whiny, love-sick girly girl. All you teeny-bopper fangirls can just grow up and realize that war sucks, losing a fellow soldier is harder than it looks, and watching people you care about debase themselves right on out of humanity (and think they deserve no better) tears your heart out, whether it's a romantic interest or not. So stop **' and start livin' and grow the hell up!

But I digress.

So good for you, Gun, for tackling the important issues in this world. And painting characters in children's books with moral ambiguity. I worship the ground you walk on.
