I've always thought Frodo was pathetic :p I mean, I LOVE Lord of the Rings, but Frodo was so overdone :p Especially in the movies.. although he is the hero...

I went away digging for a story and found this...WOw, so incredibly angsty, I felt like crying. It's an absolute nightmare, I shall be dreaming about Frodo not casting the Ring into Mt. Doom for days...Wonderful story!

Good beginning. I'm enjoying your turn of phrase and like that you don't feel the need to spell everything out--a bit of ambiguity works well here.

One thing that concerns me is your warnings for the future of this story. I worry that someone will report it as being inappropriate for this site and have it removed. (I have no idea how much detail you intend to go into, and doubt that the actual story will exceed this site's ratings, but it could get reported anyway.)

Looking forward to more, and to how the other characters come across. I loved your Sam, and the twisted nature of Frodo. (Damn ring.)

Good start and I dearly love angst! Full speed ahead with the story.

Oh...heartbreaking. But so well written. I especially loved the line about the 'sky we shall fall like the empires of the past'. It is interesting to think of things turning out this way for the two hobbits. Very intrigued by the ending and finding out what happens to Faramir and Eowyn!

I have always enjoyed your writing, and I am predicting this story will be no exception. You write drama very well; I could feel the tension between Sam and Frodo, feel Sam's slow realization. I enjoyed the last paragraph; it was an excellent lead-in to what I'm hoping will be another chapter.
I anticipate more! Congratulations on a wonderful beginning!
