Your story is very good and the idea that Luke joins the Academy is excellent. But there is one huge flaw; in the movie past only a couple of days between the buying the droids from the Jawa's and the infiltration of the Death Star so Luke would have no chance to absolve the academy and become a qualified pilot in that short amount of time...

Really interesting plot you have for this story, haven't seen star wars in a while, so I like this idea, it seems rather darker, and more deeper then the movie well the original four,five, and six. Great story man, looking forward to the update...

This was an interesting storyline. Although I am unsure of where you were taking this...it would be nice of you to try and continue with it and finish. The parallel to Luke desioring greatness to that of Anikins story (in the original series set) is rather nice because all us fans are then wondering what you as the author is going to do; wraping this around, Luke's vastly diffrent personality.

Although the question does pose whether or not, it was the series of events and circumstances that created such a warm and caring Luke or; as I'm betting, it is that deep inner force that was the reason, along with the will of the force.

Still I would like to request an update and to be able to continue reading on to the end with this fine piece of work. Thanks for sharing, dlsky

Not to be a stickler but when Vaders remembering his past when Obi-Wan is yelling down to him in the lava pit you got a portion of it wrong...you put..."You were supposed to..."

when it's "It was said that you would..."...just wanted to correct you on that. Still good though...
