imashel 2008-02-18 . chapter 22This story was so full of angst I was afraid it would never end, but then I had to try and ration the amount I read because I never wanted it to end it was so well written. I kept hoping that Jack was going to come out of all of this pain and guilt with at least a somewhat happy ending 'cause gosh he's Jack and he's our hero but no you had to trap him in a box with his arch nemisis ... argh.
I loved the world you created, the political system, culture, technology. The characters were so well drawn, the dialog voiced perfectly. You are a fabulous writer, I look forward to your next story (please tell me you're writing another story). Thanks. |
PriderockT 2007-11-14 . chapter 22 Please tell us you're going to write a sequel to this story. Someone somewhere who knows the O'Neill charactor just might pick up something being not quite right with the charactor in question, and that one or more of the other Asgard had more than a passing interest in what happened. Please?? |
Obsessed Pam 2007-05-12 . chapter 22It simply cannot be allowed to end here! It's just so cruel. Belief in humankind rests on the premise that goodness will prevail and I don't want to believe that this is where it ends and that evil reigns supreme.
More than anything, I want to see Kalaan get what she deserves and for the real Jack to be saved. The clone must surely do something! He is Jack after all.
I feel like pulling my hair out in frustration at having it all hanging in the air. All those cliffhangers and the finale is the biggest of all!
What an amazing story. I wish I had more words to convey how much I have enjoyed this remarkable story. Superlatives simply don't come close.
Should there ever be a follow-up to this epic, I will do my utmost to improve my vocabulary to do justice to what can only be an out of this world story.
Hope lives on...

Obsessed Pam 2007-05-12 . chapter 21I don't know how it's possible, but I feel for both Jacks! The clone is, in my opinion, just as vulnerable as the original - both are facing impossible odds.
And again the cliff-hanger.
That this story has held such stark tension throughout with the most imaginative of plots is proof surely that Celeste-ceri is in a class of her own. As much as I enjoy a lot of SG-1 fanfic, there are very, very few writers having the ability to write the way Celeste does and I am quite honestly astounded that a story of this outstanding calibre has received so few reviews. Its reflects sadly on us the reader and I can only hope that Celeste won't hold it against us and will be willing to write more, though if she chooses not to, I can't honestly blame her.
But I have one more chapter to read and I will enjoy it to the very end, soaking up the atmosphere and being staggered by the complexity of such an incredible story.

Obsessed Pam 2007-05-11 . chapter 20Good grief! It must be the fact that I've been away from the story but this ending was absolutely astonishingly unexpected. A bolt from the blue! I couldn't have been more shocked if I'd been Jack.
I must admit to having had this sick feeling of tension at the thought of Jack and Teal'c coming face to face as this chapter progressed but that has been superceded by the events.
Surrender? Does this mean the Princess has been in on it all along?? I've really liked her so I'm going to be miffed with myself if I've had the wool pulled over my eyes so well.
I am now late for my cat flap and so I'm going to be left hanging as to what happens next. Hope to read more tonight.
What a read! It's as if having had this period away I've come back and I'm being equally impressed by your writing all over again. What a spellbinding finish to this chapter. WOW!

Roz 2007-05-10 . chapter 1 This has been one of the best fan fic stories that I have ever read. It was cripping, exciting and original. But when I finished reading ch 22... well I immediately went looking for ch 23... nothing ... then back to the bottom of ch 22 only to confirm that this was the end of the story. Great story but you have certainly left me wanting more. |
 jenetri 2007-04-30 . chapter 22 Great story! |
Obsessed Pam 2007-04-28 . chapter 19 Even as the inexorable tsunami approaches, I can't help hoping that something miraculous is going to happen and O'Neill, with the help of Teal'c, is going to save the day. Yet, on the other hand, my gut is telling me this is a hopeless situation - I'm pulled one way and then the other and really don't want to accede to the negative side, but...

Obsessed Pam 2007-04-13 . chapter 18Do Teal'c and Kalaan offer hope for Jack, I wonder? My anxiety is still there, but that little bit of hope is there in full force.
I'm still struggling to keep up with this brilliant plot as it speeds along at an exhilarating pace. How on earth this was thought up in such fine detail is quite breathtaking.
Pam |
Obsessed Pam 2007-04-13 . chapter 17As if Teal'c's plight isn't enough to consume the reader with anxiety, the ever present Morpheus is a constant nagging nerve which bodes ill for what is to come for Jack.
I'm missing that spark of hope but I just have to read on.

Obsessed Pam 2007-04-13 . chapter 16Being a huge ship fan I have to admit the implied connection between Jack and Sam was ultra sweet, all the more so for its subtle innuendo.
And still the mystery grows and I have to wonder if I will ever be capable of solving it!
As always, impeccable fic. writing.

Obsessed Pam 2007-03-31 . chapter 15This was a truly exceptional chapter supplying everything - tension, anxiety and heart-rending pain at what Jack is being forced to do.
The idea of producing a tsunami and the details behind it were stunning in their detail. I will never ever get tired of the fascinating attention to detail and this chapter scores highly.

Obsessed Pam 2007-03-31 . chapter 14I can't imagine how he can possibly hope to deceive the rest of his team. Maybe everybody else, but not them. I just don't know what to expect. There's never a moment of predicatability in this story - what an achievement!

Obsessed Pam 2007-03-30 . chapter 13I love the way an instant rapport has developed between the Lechitan military and Jack; so cleverly done when one takes into account the fact that Jack has been railroaded into the position of Commander-in-Chief. It all adds to the growing dilemma Jack is faced with.
And yet another nailbiting conclusion to this chapter. No time to pause, I must get on to Chpt. 14.
Pam |
Obsessed Pam 2007-03-24 . chapter 12The awful truth about this situation is that there are actually people out there just like Count Tallov who are willing to slaughter innocents, though hopefully not on the scale depicted in this brilliant story. I feel the wretched hopelessness of Jack's situation and just wonder how on earth he is going to get out of this ordeal. The tone and mood are desperate.
