Brief and entertaining little character piece. He might have be a princeling in the Courts of Chaos, but he still has chores and homework :)

I like it! Blood to clean, and shadows to polish...

It captures nicely the sense of the ordinary which surrounds the macabre throughout Chaos, such as the smoking battlefields and ruined churchyards wherein Merlin would play as a demon princeling.

It is an accomplishment in literature to make the ordinary interesting.

Very funny story - shows tha childhood of Merlin and shows how a story about doing chores can be connected with the topic. A good comment to the off-topic story we have.

For a short little fic, that was nice and well written. It's flow was perfect-and it all eventually came back to the whole chore thing, which gave it a very poetic feel.

I'm guessing this is the same Merlin from "Shadow Boxing". It's pretty cool to read about him as a kid. Nice work!
