elvespiratesandcowboysohmy 2008-08-22 ch 25,	abuseSo, I just finished reading this and am, in reality, on my way over to read Asylum, but I didn't want to just move one without leaving one of these babies. It would be plain wrong. With risk of someone's head growing bigger (not mine, hehe), I will state that you are definitely one of the best writers I've encountered on in my four years as a member. If I wasn't selfish, if I didn't want your stories in easy reach forever, I might even go as far to ask you what the hell you're still doing here and why you aren't off getting something published, but I won't because then you might leave. So, I will instead go with my original plan and leave an actual review. You did the old characters the most amazing justice. Alfred to a tee. Bruce is a little happier than usual, but I'm going to attribute that to the effect Jenn has on him. You do, in fact, add a brilliant depth to each character that really brings them alive. It's not hard to picture what Haven would look like on the big screen. As for your own original characters, are you sure they don't exist? Haha...because they are, for lack of a better word, just great. Everytime I start reading a new story, I worry about running into Mary Sues (Usually when this happens, a lot of people quit reading. I try to go on with as little gagging as possible and leave as nice a review as possible, since when I first started out here, my first OC was disgustingly Mary Sue...Needless to say, people could be quite mean about it...), but my worry at the beginning of Haven was unecessary. Jenn is so real and un-Mary Sue that I might be interested a.) if she WAS real and b.) if I rolled that way. And Lauren...I love Lauren! She is so incredibly funny! And I think she helps so much to bring the tension down when things get too serious. Also, she reminds me a lot of myself. I can be very random (Spunk Ransom!) as proven... :-) Funnily enough, while reading, I had so many things to comment on. Certain quotes. Favorite passages. Funny scenes. But as it goes, I can't remember many of them specifically, so I'll settle for letting you know that your dialogue is great at worst, amazing at best. (I can't think of a 'worst' but you've gotta admit, that sounds good on paper.) The story line was lovely. Villain was a great idea! I'm not really familiar with all the Batman backstories...was Black Widow a real villain? If not, amazing job of creating her. Genius idea, really. Anyway, I'm getting impatient to move on to Asylum, but I just really wanted to let you know how much I loved Haven. Your writing is actually inspiring to tell you the truth. I can't wait to read more soon!

Potzy375 2008-08-18 ch 25,	abuseAwesomeness! I just got done reading the whole thing, and it was absolutely hilarious!! I love Jenn and Bruce's humorous shenagans when they are together. Loved the extras, I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard. My mom was giving me a look like she thought I was crazy. lol. My moms cool like that I can make her laugh when I want her to or make her mad. Today I made her laugh while she was drinking milk, it didn't end well. :P Well I'm gonna read the sequel now. Ta ta!! Linwe-Amari 2008-08-14 ch 10,	abuseAh, I love Lauren. She reminds me of my crazy--erm... unconventional friends. I really liked that "poke him in the eyes with your middle finger" part. How the heck do you come up with this stuff? I also think it's funny how she is always sexually innuendo-ing everything, because that's what my friend Crystal does... seriously, every friggin time I speak. I'd might as well just staple my lips together. xD So, great chapter! I'm off to read more! Yay!

The line itself was just too funny and the irony... just made it that much sweeter! :D I also find it hilarious that Jenn finds Bruce to be a cat person, considering how Catwoman is usually one of his love interests. xD Jenn, can kick ass right? Were you insinuating something? wink, wink Anyhoo, it's about 12:30 AM, and I have to get up at 6:30, so I'm going to have to go to bed now, despite the fact that I want to read more right now. I guess that I'll have to wait... sigh Ah, well. Such is life, no?

coffeemione 2008-07-24 ch 25,	abuseI've tried to send this review three times but does not seem to want anything to do with me, so here's hoping this works. Just so you know, I lost a whole night of sleep over this story - by the time I finished and crawled into bed, the sun had risen. But I don't regret it, because this story was FANTASTIC. There aren't many great Batman stories out there so I was relieved to have come across your's. To me, Bruce Wayne seemed really spot-on, and I kept a mental image of Christian Bale in my head the whole time. Jenn was also extremely likeable, unlike many OCs, so congrats on that. And Lauren was a wonderful, often much-needed source of comic relief. And I really liked the Black Widow, too. Her motives were so believable. Now I'm off to read your sequel!
