This story is old, but I was searching through the Zack/Cloud stories and found this one.

The ending completely broke my heart. Ajhsdkhadsj Zack died protecting Cloud. D: The way it starts out all happy and fluffy and then transitions into a bittersweet ending is what really makes this story. 3

Holy...*grabs tissues* Why are the ZackCloud fics so sad? And why do I continue to read them? Gah, I'm such a masochist.

Really great. My heart was crying by the end. Zack and Cloud are just perfect for each other in my eyes.

Best line ever. It's so true, especially in Zack's case. Now excuse me, I have to try and stop crying now. Geez, I'm so emotional when it comes to this couple.

Aw. It's so sad! I think the sadness is amplified by the fact that I actually finally got around to beating Crisis Core the other day and after seeing Zack die and then having to read it. Ack. I'm about to cry. But it was so cute. I must say that I agree with cloud though. I hate seeing fics where Cloud is constantly babied by Seph and Zack.

You showed very well the emotions and behaviour of the protagonists. I just thought that it was a little contradictory in relation to the Zack's feeling of protection that they had -you know what- xD. I think it breaks a little what you have built previously in the personality of Zack. I don't mean that they shouldn't have that but I didn't think so rapidly xD. ... Hmm, sorry about it, it's just me who think that and I'm a little stupid so don't think you were wrong, it was good on the whole.

About the ending, even if it is (VERY) sad, I think it's good that you wrote this. Because it fits with the beginning and makes your fic complete, like a conclusion . And it is more realistic because Zack really died. Yeah... Zack/Cloud is not a happy love story. Even if I prefer "Happy Zack/Cloud love stories" xD. I love when it is more realistic too.

Anyways, it was cute, really good job.

Sometimes that's how I hate it to end. It's all happy, and romancy. Than! Someone dies.

Okay...So I'm reading and reading..and thinking 'this is pretty good...I like it..." and then he said 'Liar' and I lost it. I know I should have seen it...but I didn't...Zack's death scence ALWAYS makes me cry. It always makes me feel patethic and like an absolute loser...but then I think...Its ZACK. Anyway I RELALY liked this...a lot.

I haven't played the game either, I've just read/view a lot of fanfiction/fanart/doujinshi/spoilers/game information. You story is so fluffy in the beginning and then switches smoothly to angst, I love it!
