I thought that maybe, Javert yielded a bit too quickly - you showed him as nicely defiant and desperately clutching on to his pride at first, but then he gave in and turned around almost immediately. Of course, he'd just hit rock bottom, so maybe that was why, but I'd have expected it too take longer, or at least for Valjean to need to do more convincing. (I've seen a Les Miz film, but I suspect it wasn't the same one.)

Still, overall I liked it. Hope to read more from you. :)

Oh, this was really nice to read. They are in-character, it makes your heart warm, and it's so calming.

Well... yes... and their place is by a sick man's bedside. It's their GOd-given duty to care for ill men. I'm not seeing Javert's point here. He's being gratuitously nasty.

Confuddled. How would Cosette know that was Javert? She only saw him for a few minutes of her life. The POV switching still irks me...could you possibly try and fix it in future? I know stress can get you down, but everyone has to work through it and it builds perserverence. Pwease? :{

I don't think switching the POV from person to person is bad, I find it kind of interesting actually. I really want to read the rest so please don't let me down and not finish it.
Really glad you read the book. Les Miserables is an awesome story. And I always thought that movie version needed more of an ending so good job writing one for it.

Nice, but maybe Cosette was a little too... forgiving? I mean, there's a big, dangerously ill Javert in her father's bed - surely she'd be a little more curious/unforgiving? That's my opinion, though. I'm intrigued to find out what Marius' reaction will be.

The two chapters I've just read are very nice- good job. So, you wrote this after you saw the movie, but before you read the book? Hm. I saw the movie before I read the book, as well.

Anyway, this is going nicely, I think, for your first Les Miz fic. As Tay-kun said, "Warning: Here, there are many harsh critics." Definitely remember that. :)

I'm really looking forward to the climax of the story, so turn out those final two chapters. :)

I feel that the next chapter may need a bit of action somewhere, but I look forward to seeing it.

A small critique- I think it would be better if you changed the POV from first to third person. It would make the whole story flow a little more smoothly.

Other than that, I like it. The movie is so underrated, and not many book fans like it (I do, though). Keep going- nice job.

Personally, do not understand the whole 'pre-typed' quandary you seem to be in. Anyways, welcome to the fandom. I write POTO myself, but love Les Mis to pieces! Do you think places like Blockbuster and such would have the Les Mis movie? I am trying to get my filthy little hands on it. Anyway, love Javert and Valjean, hope to see more in future.
