| Georgie Gryffindor 2008-04-15 ch 1, | abuseWow. Wonderful, wonderful characterisation, especially of Chandler as he's the one people seem to stuff up most. And Monica's neuroticness... perfect. I love the growth you've shown here. Monica hating yellow more because she see's Chandler in it, her need for victory... I especially loved the part where Chandler and Kathy break up and Monica comforts him best without any real effort in it. One of my favorite things about Friends is all the subtle little things that I saw (or I imagined) from the start with Monica and Chandler and Ross and Rachel, with them just understanding the other better than the rest of the group does. Just lots of little things like that, and I like how you did that with Kathy. Favorite lines:- "So he might know her even more than she knows herself. But both of them already knew that." "it is not his darkness that scares him. It is his light." "and she is pulled into the most perfect kiss. It’s only perfect though, because- Because it’s him." Just love it. |

The repetativeness of the color yellow, the nude picture (Joey says "..."), Chandler hating footabll and loving math, except for sequence and degrees(that section was my absolute *favorite* part). I'm not sure I entirely get the "It's not his darkness that scares him; it's his light" at least not in the context of this fic, but I loved it all the same. The "dishes that were dirty dirty dirty...until they are clean clean clean" reminded me of Eloise at the Plaza- was that purposeful? I love how you got back to yellow at the end. Breathtakingly Beautiful fic. |
