This story is AMAZING. I almost didn't read it, almost went and grabbed a multi-chapter fic instead -- I am SO glad I chose to look at this first. It's absolutely gorgeous.

Wow, that was really deep! I loved the length of it (It's so hard to find long stories these days). I can see almost every aspect of this story happening. I don't, however, agree with the slash element; it's not that I'm a slash hater, it's just that I feel that Albus and Severus had a father/son relationship. I have also contemplated on the idea of Albus making a Horcrux. However, I would have thought that it would have been the result of his defeat of Grindelwald and not the murder (or assisted murder) of himself. You've got an interesting take on this, I will admit! Thanks for sharing this with us, and I look forward to more from you!

Personally, I don't mind rehashed ideas as long as the story is well done. But it still is refreshing to read a new idea! Bravo on both plot and execution!

*applauds* Far too often in this fandom it seems authors ignore new canon rather than try to incorporate it in fanfic, or repeat the same old plot that's been done a billion times over. Many kudos to you for using ideas from HBP to create something brilliantly different. Only one little nit I found to pick; in the scene where Snape avoids crying into his cauldrons at Spinner's End, you probably wanted the word "tenet" where you used "tenant" - a tiny slip, really.
