*snort* I like this one! What I'm wondering is what is miniJack's reaction to this! (If Jack is a General than miniJack already exists) I wish you would write a chapter in which mini Jack reacts, calls him and says he's insane. Oh--does miniJack get Secret Service detail too? LOL! Oh, or he could see it as his chance to get back into the SGC without the awkwardness of his double being there.

I get this strange, evil satisfaction with the idea of President Hayes dying in office, leaving Jack holding the bag, so to speak. President Jack O'Neill? Sounds like the kind of nightmare that would wake Jack up screaming during the time he's in office and it really could happen to him. It would make a sweet story, though... hint, hint. :)

Oh this was great. It would be even greater if you continued it. I am sure you could come up with tons of funny little tidbits from Jacks time in office ;)

Was rereading it and yes I did enjoyed it again but I'm asking myself how Jack would taking and filling out the job of Vice President or maybe even them of President for the that the president died of illness or something not natural.

Oh, I liked this! Very good.

Although... being the VIce-President would mean that he would be head of NASA, theres a boon for the space program considering that the spaceshuttle saved SG-1's butt after destroying Apophis' Motherships at the end of Season one.
He would also have the opportunity to go many places and do many things, however his actions would be publically transparent... sneaking of to Cheyenne Mountain on a regular basis would raise some eyebrows.
But then again, the Vice President gets more time of than the boss himself, and considering how much time Bush spends at his ranch thats a lot of time for Jack to 'fish' at his cabin.
You could do something interesting with this though... not many people have considered doing a 'Stargate, finally revealed to the whole world' story. How would it go down with Jack as VP?

Now that I've read this, I want more! Sorry about the whining, but it's pretty good idea.

hehehehe... this is funny. Not that he wouldn't do nicely in such a position (even if he wouldn't want to admit it) but I can just see his reaction...

AH crap. I think is the correct term. Despite thinking that it would be a great idea, i just don't see how Jack could do justice to that position. his character is just not politically motivated. Hes an action man, not a bureaucratic man, involved in lots and lots of red tape

But I must say I'm curious how he would handle this job... there is a lot of potential for crazy stuff to happen whith him disregarding protocol for efficiency etc. Could you take a look if there is a fitting plot bunny running around your bunny farm?
