| kingleby 2006-07-14 ch 1, | abusei always wondered what those two would be like in a meeting. lol ^_^ |
| Negotiatrix 2006-02-11 ch 1, | abuseNow this was slightly too well done! Really, how do you do it? Saito was just perfect with his, "How do you even bother to make the effort, Hiko?" I can even hear him saying it. |
| moeru himura 2006-01-13 ch 1, | abuseHiko's answer, that was perfect. I can so relate to this! I remember the epi where Hiko helped the Aoi-ya. Hiko knew the importance of those people to Kenshin, so just like not abandoning Kenshin, he helps his friends too! Oh, and you also mentioned here that Hiko would risk his life just to impart Kenshin with one of the greatest lessons he should learn in life. Hiko never shows his emotions to Kenshin, but when the best opportunities come, he never hesitates. |
| charmed-sword 2005-11-23 ch 1, | abuseThis was just perfect. *sigh* Have I mentioned what a great writer you are? With a few sentences, you say more than most people say with 20 chapter fics! It was interesting to see Saitou and Hiko talk about Kenshin, I'm sure Saitou would have wondered why Hiko would finish the training when Kenshin abandoned it. It probably would have annoyed him. I LOVE the end lines. Haha, so funny! ^_^ at the same time conveying Hiko's fatherly love for Kenshin, very touching. |
| the sacred night 2005-11-01 ch 1, | abuseaw :) hiko being sentimental while still remaining his silly stoic self. almost one to make aoshi proud. |
| Khrysalis 2005-10-30 ch 1, | abuseI think this is my favorite. And that is really saying something. It's a shame, though, that Master Hiko can't seem to say such things TO Kenshin. Even if Kenshin may or may not already know it, there are certains things all children need to hear from their parents. |
| lolo popoki 2005-10-29 ch 1, | abuseVery well done conversation between the two of them... I've always wanted to see how Hiko and Saito would interact together :) I love the sentiment shown here with Hiko explaining why he allowed Kenshin to finish his training. These were all wonderful little one-shots, but I think maybe they might be better as a single fic with each one-shot as a separate chapter. But that's just a thought :) Great job with these! |
| sueb262 2005-10-29 ch 1, | abuseI like the slight frisson I get imagining being close enough to an encounter between these two to overhear the conversation--that alone is enough to make this story a favorite! Of course, my absolutely favorite phrase is "a slightly too-well-muscled man in a much too dramatic cape". These two characters are such good material for exploring a man's approach to fatherhood in another time and another culture--great, original idea, masterfully executed! |
