Heartbreaking. But I get it, I get how her mind's working. The only way she can keep from the pain is to tell herself that he's a deserter. It is common for someone to feel angry at the deceased, angry at them for leaving. Poor Zoe.

Something tells me though, as hard as this is, that she will survive and maybe - years and years later - fall in love again. Often if the first marriage is a happy one, someone goes on to love again.

Wow!... She thinks he abandon her? I guess whatever get's ya through the night honey. I'm sad that she feels this way though I believe this would be a way for her to react to losing her lover. :-( I can so relate.
