Great story! Interesting plot! I think I would rather have Rikku end up with Gippal, but that's just my opinion!

the plot thickens lol. wow that was nice and very surprising. little gippal hmm. and fake rikku mom. i like the title of this chapter, although i didnt really understand it until the end. really detailed description of the cave, im glad you didnt just rush through it because that'd throw off your pace.

"the little fingers wrapping around it like worms." was my favourite line. ee! hes so cute. lol. hope you get a chance to update soon. ill be eagerly waiting =D

my favourite paragraph was the one with "It wasn’t like just a lover. Baralai had a history of a few of those, when he’d had the time." =) everything following it was very cute seeing someone who's supposed to be all stiff and political get all fussy over a crush. you write one of the best baralais ive read =D although i felt the ending was a bit weak, only because uve had better, more powerful endings in the past.

yes you are an awful updater lol. but every update is worth the wait, seriously. YOU may be crazy and say they're mediocre chapters but they never are, and im totally ignoring that you even said that.

sad thing is that ive forgotten the little details of this story and it might effect the reading of these chapters. still, i perfectly enjoyed this installment. but i felt that the description of rikku's mom's death couldve been more emotional -- but its no biggie. the description of feeling evil was nicely done, as well as the beach and the meeting with the woman. wonderful pacing.

i am so eager to read the next chapter but i really shouldnt because ive neglected so many chores. ACK! ill be back, don't worry. keep writing in the meanwhile (it hurts to hear youve got writers block >

It is nice finding a good interesting read on Rikku in myrads of yuna/tidus fics. I like how you portray her childish impression has a cover for her deeper emotions and feelings. You have a good handle on the characters and on the plot. I am excited to see what happens next!

I'm liking what I've read so far, and I can't wait to read more. I'm impressed by the insight of each character, but I would love to hear more from Gippal ^^

for some reason i can't seem to sleep, so i've kept myself busy with this fine story of yours. i'm a gippal fan, it's a dorky trait, but hey... i'm glad i can share it. until i read this, i never really thought much regarding the baralaixrikku pairing. actually i've never really read anything that focused so much on baralai. i really like your version of him, as well as all the characters. i kinda wish there were two rikku's.. so that nobody would get hurt. (i think the early morning hath turneth me into a sap)

anyway, i'm really curious to see where this is headed, and what happens to our poor rikku in the den of woe. oh, and good luck on your senior year, it's mine as well. :)

Ive just read all this and I am loving it you make everything seem so real like some of it came from there childhood like the 'quite a couple' line I am loving this :) Im a Rikku/Gippal fan definetly I liked how Gippal was venting his frustrations and worry on Baralai as that is what friends are known to do. Will Baralai figure out that Gippal likes her?im liking Baralai but them together would create a massive buzz.

I just read the story from Jezzi's favs list since I was in the mood for a good Rikku and Gippal story. Love the couple. I just read this all in one sitting, even though I have work early tomorrow. I love the description in this. Sometimes I need a dictionary since I'm not good with words, but still, don't let that stop you! Your right on with everyone's character, and I like how this time that Gippal's family was the one that took of Rikku for awhile, since I usually read stories of Gippal being taken care of by her family. Also the eye remaining a mystery appealed to me too. I don't know why, but it seem more real to me since Gippal's right, "everyone has their secrets." I usually don't like fics that involve something between Baralai and Rikku since no one can do it right. I was never attracted to it, ever. This one I am, it was so cute and innocent. I wonder how things will go? Hope for an update. Good luck in writing the next chapter. Added to alerts/favorites!
