I love this story.

Cant tell you how often I've reread it.

Still utterly brilliant and sweet.

"Ash felt the heat in his face that accompanied a blush; hoped she didn’t notice it. A little bit of him hoped she did." <-Perfectly epitomizes that feeling of having a crush and wanting them to know but also not. Super charming, and mad cute with their hair.

And the sandslash bit. Which, props for it being a sandslash, as the word itself has a very musical quality and worked well with the feel of teh story.

Not to mushy, not too rigid. Very sweet without giving me a cavity. Nicely done.

Holy cow. One of the best pieces I've read in my ventures here. The first line was a perfect choice. And the ending? Even better. You are amazing. I think a lot of people feel that way about Misty- she looks so pretty with her hair down, and yet, she rarely does that.

Who would have thought that she liked Ash's hair without a hat on it? (Though, there are a couple coworkers of mine I would LOVE to see without their hats on. They're so paranoid, they'll even shove you if you touch their hat. Good thing Ash's not that way!)

Good work! I really, really enjoyed this. It's 11:30, now, though, and I've gotta get up at 4:30 (might get up earlier, though). I hate getting up so early! Stupid job! (Haha)

I haven't read a one-shot AAML this brilliant in a long time. and 'rueful' is one of those hundred dollar words only used by unique writers. heh, good job.
