Thank you for writing this. This is really an excellent story, one of the most intense I've read.

Your characters are very true to the way I see them, and it's easy to symphatise. I love your twins: the theory of them having one soul and thus dragging eachother along in their grief, Elrohir trying to save his twin by pushing him away, Elladan seemingly becoming more like his brother in his absence. I had some hope Elrohir would heal a little on coming back to Rivendell, but it's clear that it's not that easy. Your Arwen also deserves a mention: I love her compassion. Interesting that she feels a slight nudge towards Aragorn. But I suppose he is too necessary to Gondor to be allowed to sail.

It's all the more heartbreaking because this is surely not what Celebrian or Legolas would have wanted for them.

The wispers of the ring are especially well done, you've given it a character of its own.

it's funny, u know, but this story never used to interest me. i used to flick straight past it with barely a glance

yesterday, i decided to give it a go, and i can't believe what i've been missing all this time! this story is just so fantastic! i am totally hooked. i haven't been able to stop reading, even though i'm supposed to be working! lol! i love the way you bring out the characters and give them depth. i especially love the way u portray Gandalf- i busy-body irritating old man who likes to stick his nose in and play pranks on door handles. pmsl! that was great!

so, i am going to grovell most pathetically, and say pretty please hurry up with the new chapter!

I really do like the voice you give the ring...I think it's really accurate. What Gandalf says about why it is so attracted to Elrohir is understandable. I can't wait for the next chapter.

I think you describe Elrohir's emotion well - showing he's a valuable member of the Fellowship, while he's also causing some tension among the group. It's good that he seems opening up before Aragon. Maybe he would get 'softer' when he arrived Lothlorien?

Arwen and Elladan's section serve well as a break of this chapter. It's good that we can foresee some actions from this party also. I wonder how would the fight goes, and if Elladan can protest his sister from harm?

Keep up the good work. I saw some authors added this story as their favourites. Hope to see your next update soon.

I'm loving the interatction between Gandalf and Elrohir. It's amusing. I do like the thought process behind all your chapters. I think you're really great. Well, can't wait for the next chapter.

ar ha! so, you're just postponing the love between Arwen and Aragon here, not bad. Guess we can read something about that when Arwen and Elladan meet the Fellowship...oh, they should meet, right? hm...hope you don't mind me guessing...maybe, the obvious fight between the twins (when they met) helps to link Arwen & Aragon together? well well, just my wild guess only.

I love the undertone in your writing. I think the emotion within your chapters is wonderfully subtle and appropriate for the situation the characters are going through. Your story is so well thought out and I love the unexpected quality in it as well. Even though it is the same story we all know and love, you give it such an interesting spin.
