I just discovered this story today, a little late but I just had to leave a review. This is lovely, just lovely. So well written, and such a great concept.
(The part about Catherine and Warrick is even sadder now that we know the way it ends. At least the other couples have each other.)

Catherine’s story with Warrick is so sad! I used to don’t really like her since the season 5, but actually, I just can fell sympathy for her! And, seriously, I just want to kick Warrick in the **, because, to get married when there is Catherine next to him, obviously in love with him, gr, damn him!
Greg/Nicky: so cute, I love it! It’s the first time I read this paring, but, I think they make a very touching couple. I liked how you describe the anguish of Nick, and especially how they take care of each other => very cute.
For Grissom and Sara, well, I think you have seen with the beginning of this review what I think: HOW CAN YOU LET US WITHOUT KNOWING WHAT GRISSOM DOES? No, it’s very very mean from you!! Ok, you rock if the two stories I read from you, but, for once: argh! I really want a sequel this time!! Make Warrick divorces, Nick and Greg still happy together, and Grissom dials this DAMN Sara’s number!! Please, hum…

Oki, I shut my mouth (or stop my fingers).
Maybe I was a little too tensed, but understand me, I really love what you do, and it’s frustrating to not have the sequel. Please, keep writing!!

You've pretty much summed up their relationship in one clean sentence! I really enjoyed the tempo of this story -- quick but accurate charaterizations, each part very different than the one that preceded it.
