Ahem, okay, now that I've gotten that out of my system...

It's interesting to see the different reactions Goku and Kou are having. Goku doesn't seem to have quite grasped the fact that he's just landed in the middle of the enemy's lair, does he? ^_^

My favourite part of this chapter would have to be this:

“Why do you keep calling me that?”

Dokugakuji looked a little taken aback, “You never minded before but I’ll stop if you want me to, Kougaiji.”

Ha ha! I've always wondered why he thinks he can get away with being so casual, as compared to Yaone's "Kougaiji-sama", you know?

I'm looking forward to seeing how you continue to develop this plotline, and still enjoying your characterizations! It's going to be neat to view each of the two groups through the eyes of the enemy.

I've never been so happy to see an update, so I am glad that you may have another one up soon.

Ooh, now you've got me grinning like crazy. This is gonna be so cool! I really like the way you're progressing the story so far, like I said before, it feels very well-paced. And I'm still loving your characterization, especially Sanzo. I'm really interested to see what you do with this plot line. I'll be watching for the update!

Very intriguing! I don't have time to read the second chapter at the moment, but boy, do I want to! I see potential for very interesting plot developments, here. Also, I love the interaction between the characters. That was very well done, especially the way the two groups pulled together in time of mutual need, and the way that you demonstrate the concern that one shows for another. And... you say no pairings, but you've got some very satisfying hints throughout! I love the way you emphasize the bond between Sanzo and Goku, and Sanzo's constant struggle to try to conceal his concern.

As for a bit of criticism, I did find some of the heavier action scenes, such as the fight at the beginning, and the part where the dragon was falling back down the hole, a little hard to focus on. They seemed somewhat rushed and jumbled together, and the sentences a little on the long side.

Your characterization, though, is top-knotch, and the plot pacing smooth.

I'm really looking forward to reading chapter 2!

Yay, a new multi-part fic from you! I am very interested where you will be taking this. Of course, I already know the "twist" that will follow since you posted the new chapter on the mailing list (and I believe you also showed the first part of it to me a long while ago, when you were starting on this), so I can't wait to see what you will make of it!

In the concrit corner, there are some minor spelling mistakes and a couple of cases where the punctuation could have been a little better, but no worries, it's really nothing major. Also, Sanzo said "Che" rather often in the first part of the fic, but not too much to become obnoxious (even though I tripped a little over it).
