I guess when you live as long as he has, you realize that small nuisances like that will come and pass just as everything else does. I wonder how hard it will be to watch his family die.

Kalen Darkmoon 2008-06-16 ch 9,	abuseInteresting story. The only problem I really see is that Harry's solitude for so many millennia would have left him with very questionable sanity. Humans are very social creatures and even a few years isolation can render a man/woman mad. You've portrayed Harry having long stretches of being alone and/or tortured (like the Prometheus part) but seemed to ignore any effect that should have had upon his psyche. Initially I was a bit upset with the meaningless "death" of Marie, but was happy to see that she was restored later. If anyone deserves companionship it's someone who managed to survive more than a hundred-thousand years of loneliness and somehow retained their sanity through it all. Yes, I understand you had him breeding women left and right throughout the years but that is most certainly NOT the same thing as having a true companion. Someone you can really share your life with. His physical "needs" may have been met but his mental and emotional needs were pretty much ignored. There is a reason most hermits are considered crazy. It's because most of the time they really are - either before going into solitude or as a result of that solitude. Aside from that aspect, the story has been pretty good and certainly is quite original. I'll be watching for more of this.
