that was definetally a strange story but I enjoyed it, well done

This story was great please keep going with it and turn it into a sequel not only so we can find out the shriker but also so we can see how Sam and Jack live happily ever after.

btw., why isn't Jack being promoted too, why just Sam? on the show it was that Jack was promoted first and Sam was promoted after that...

There was a mistake, a big one.

A full Colonel and a light Colonel, meaning LIEUTENANT Colonel is NOT the same rank, they don't have the same pay, they don't have the same rank, they don't have the same responsibilities nor privileges nor do they have the same postings (full Colonels can command whole bases, while light Colonels don't),... it's not the same rank. Even insignias are completely different.

A Lt. Col. shares the insignia with a Major - Oak Leaves, only they're silver and not gold, while a full Colonel has a silver Eagle.

Such a mistake can be understandable when coming from a civvie who has never served and doesn't have a clear idea of the military, just their own wrong vision, but please do a little research on ranks and regs and the military in general before you write a fic, especially if you write someone as important as a General stating something that is not true as if it's a truth that is carved in stone. It just lowers the overall quality of the fic and the enjoyment for an informed reader.
