2009-09-03 . chapter 1
God, how I hate this epy, the simple fact that Rory did not READ Jess's novel over night, broke me. It just wasn't her anymore. And while they were sitting there and that ass was dropping names and showing off his money .. I just wanted to slap her ..

But Jess had made all the difference :) he always did, and the happy birthday line broke me even more.

Thx for this, so well written, so the GG I miss.

"Jess won’t be the one to tell him that he’d read Salinger before Logan was old enough to spell it."

I love that line, great story, short and simple and that is what makes it great.

Hey, I really like this story. While I like that Jess was cool and collected in the episode a part of me missed the smart assed comment the Jess of old would have made, so it was nice to read what he may have been thinking. And like the episode it does a nice job of showing how far Jess has come and how far Rory has fallen.

That was super good. Even though it was a short one-shot it definately will stick with me. Fabulously written and you used Logan's lines very well throughout it. I wonder if Logan had even read anything by the authors he was spewing off to Jess. He is kinda a dumbass, slacker, rich boy. I am glad that in the episode, Logan's true colors finally showed really well. I personally think that it was so good because Daniel Palladino was the one who wrote it and even though he tends to write wackier stuff, his style was exactly what that episode needed to be perfect. Even though Jess left, it was what needed to happen for Rory to straighten out her life. If Jess had stayed, everything would not have changed the way it did in last week's episode.~Alexa

Absolutely gorgeous. Every word is perfection.

"He thinks it’s his ears playing tricks, the slap of her shoes on the cobblestone. He’s wrong and she’s standing before him, trying to make excuses, trying to tell him she’s okay, she’s not drowning in beer and bratty boys. She won’t die of boredom or suffocate beneath her grandmother’s horrible taste in décor."

That paragraph was so breathtakingly right. You captured the feeling of the confrontation perfectly, and I especially love the alliteration of "beer and bratty boys" - it has such a nice ring to it.

Thank you for writing this and sharing it!

Take that, you blond dick!

"153 pages, front to back, table of contents to about the author. A short novel.

He didn’t tell her it was epic. That it was his life story. That it was hers."

I really love the way you write Jess. It's exactly how I would imagine his thoughts, but I don't have the acility to put them on paper. You're amazing.
