Shintachi 2005-11-13 . chapter 1 WAH! That was truly MAGNIFICENT! Sure it was a little wierd ("little"?) but it was different, new, and filled with excitment that balances that freakiness to the story...and I mean that in the best possible way! There aren't enough psyched-up stories as such yours and it's great to read this kind of writing. Dang, it's an over cliche that it'd be the same boy/girl situation...it drowns the reader's mind, ne? Tho' tis only an opinion. There are so many new aspects seen in this fic and although Kenshin was way off his rocker, it brings, once again, a new twist added unto the never-ending list of relationship between Kenshin and Kaoru. Oh, and it's really great that your cousin nagged you into finishing this story, huh? Anyhoo, just wanted to say wonderful work for creating such a beautiful masterpiece! Thanks! I'll be sure to be seeing more of your work in the near future. Ha! Yeah...I do think...yup, I'm currently reading you "To Love Again" also, awesome job on that one too! Don't forget to update on that one too! Keep writing such stories...and so...
Anyhow, ciao! Reeaally love it!
P.S. Gee, ya don't think you'll be writing a sequel or something alike, uh, maybe somewhere along those lines, eh? Well, just wondering, but then it'll be pretty weird that Kenshin and Kaoru are dead...so sad...still.
Ah, well, hey, I've noticed that you pen-name "Silent Tears Of Agony" actually seems to fit in mood with this fic. Heehee, angst is really up you aisle of work isn't it? Hope this inspires more of your kind of work! *too much writing making fingers numb...uh*
Laterz! Bye for real now!

skenshingumi 2005-11-13 . chapter 1The truth is I didn't like the story but not because of the way it was written. It's just that it is so far from Kenshin's character. I prefer stories that explore the personalities and motivations of the characters that I already love. Even at his most murderous, I never saw Kenshin as a sadistic murderer as he is here. I am not sure of the point of using the characters from an existing series if they do not maintain some connection in spirit to the original. Why not just write a piece like this as an original work with original characters? Is the goal to upend the “good guy” expectations? These comments are meant as actual questions, not rhetorical ones, since I truly don’t get it. I hope I hear back form you. |
