Loved how you wrote John, too. He was also very much in character. I thought it was fantastic how Rodney hit the freaks for saying stuff about Teyla. So Rodney! He always does the noble thing when you least expect it, you know? :D And then they killed the poor girl - gah! >:( Poor Rodney, it seems like the Universe is really out to make everything he does come out wrong! :'( Great beginning!
