This is simply beautiful. Turin and Nienor are two of my favorite characters from the Sil, and this more than does them justice. I particularly love the idea that they have this tacit agreement not to go near what scares them - that they depend on each other to protect them from those fears.

Absolutely lovely. Thank you.

Beautiful misty-sounding little piece. I particularly like the end, and "the bleak black neverending night". That right there is a well-turned phrase. Wonderful writing!

You are as poignant as ever, my Lady. *applause*

"they have learned to remember to ignore the little creeping thoughts at the edge of thought;"
"he with a fleeting eddy of half-recognition that sinks back, forgotten, she with vanishing unremembered memories, unknown, unheeded, unwanted, and quickly, fleetingly gone."

You're just so good. Great writing, and good job staying in touch with Tolkien's tones and theme. I've always wondered about Niniel/Turin. there's so much on their lives, yet so little about them two together.
great job.

Chilling. Awesome job. Your sentences were complex without ever being overboard, poetic without ever being flowery. Very nice. You handled a touchy subject matter very well. A bit 'weird' perhaps...but I liked it. :)
