The firefly metaphor tightly threaded this story together. Good job. It was, in appropriate turns, sweet and angsty, and the result was a satisfying piece of fiction. Loved your insight into Ichigo's thoughts.

AHA! Cuteness abound from this! I love it...I know everyone says this all the time, but I REALLY mean this...YOU NEED TO UPDATE! THIS ROCKS. Awesome, I love the connection throughout with fireflies and all that good stuff...*sighs* ichiruki goodness rocks the house.

I like how you leapt through 4 diff time periods and used the firefly theme to tie them together (I especially liked how you connected that to the reason Ichigo let Rukia stay back in SS). Oh and never in a million years would I have thought of a cool line like "watched the vague white clouds get twisted into shapes by the wind." Well done!
