The most touching part for me was when they called one another by their given names: Kathleen; Matthew. Something that simple radiated their love for one another. You did an excellent job of capturing Matt's guilt and torment. I also was touched by how Kitty was so tender in her efforts to soothe Matt, despite her own abuse and injuries. Another favorite. I never watched Gunsmoke when it aired originally (though I admit to catching episodes every now and again on TVLand), so while I'm familiar with the characters, I'm not so familiar with the events of this particular episode. That said, it doesn't mean I couldn't enjoy this story. You, of course, did your usual *splendid* job portraying Kitty & Matt and the devotion that binds them, with or without the legal part. Good job. |
