How come poor Wash always gets labeled small or short? Maybe it's just in comparison to Zoe, Mal and Jayne.

This was fascinating, and I think I will come back and read it again, because there are layers here that make me want to *think*. Rare is the story that does that! "much more pragmatic, and fun, to be a blasphemous skeptic" That is a great line, and one I wouldn't be at all surprized to hear coming out of Mal!

Very nice piece with only a few typos. I like the rather abstractness of the beginning where we're not sure exactly what's going on. I loved the additon of the Chinese though I would dearly like to know what he was saying. Gotta love Mal.
