Oh, Boomercat, you've really done it this time! I love this story. The title is so apt, but at least Jeff didn't make the same mistake Harry Chapin did. I love the reference to Macguyer, and the boys characters are so dead on. As always, a terifc tale from one of the best.

great story. i loved the boys and the way you portrayed them. i also liked the way jeff had no answer when he asked why his father worked so hard. great job. hope to see more like this. i love to read about the boys when they are kids.

Wow, brilliant loved every moment. The bed bit is exactly what me, my sister and brother did to our Dad when he was working nights, he was amazingly not that angry with us.

A clever choice of name, for a remarkably sweet story. Nice to see Jeff interacting warmly with his sons. All the presents were a nice touch, as was the age-difference bickering between John and his little brothers, and Scott's graceful maturity. Very enjoyable. )

This story was so good! it made me laugh and cry, it was fantastic. (Mcgyver rules! All you need is a pocket knife a piece of strring and a stick of gum and you have your very own escape plan!)

What a wonderful story! The way you wrote the characters, I can picture the whole thing. And being the oldest of six children, I can totally understand how things can get away from Jeff. Again, loved it.
