 Frimmy 2005-11-25 . chapter 1aw, very sweet.
even though i don't celebrate, that was still very cute and real-ish sounding.
i love how you made Sam cook, even though i think Danny would have liked seeing her in an apron with apple pie!
just kidding, i loved it.

That was amazingly wonderful, and made my Thanksgiving weekend off wonderful. Thanks for the fluff boost, I needed one! Very well written, and great idea. Kudos and cookies to you!

Fey Phantom 2005-11-25 . chapter 1Wow. Okay, I've been keeping notes on what I wanted to say so bare with me ;)
First off, I'd like to say this is a definite fav! Absolutely wonderful in terms of story and holiday spirit! It was such a pleasure to read, I'm having a hard time coming up with words to describe it. Nothing seems to give it the praise it deserves. So I'm just gonna say really awesome story!
Alright, absolutely loved the beginning. Love your take on history (cause you know it's true ;) ) and love the repetition of the dates. Very nice use of that literary device there. It's also the quickest I've ever started laughing from reading a story. Great humour. I loved it too (caution: the word love is going to be WAY overused in this review).
Okay, now for some of my favourite moments in this story:
-"[...]because that’s how it would always happen on TV.
Instead, the phone rang [...]" Great line! TV - LOL
-Sam in an apron... need I say more? :D
-The kiss (even if it WAS just on the cheek)... and who doesn't love a little SxD romance? (well, maybe I should say what shipper doesn't love a little DxS romance... but I won't ;) ) The cuteness between them! Wonderfully done. Not too much, just right I'd say. And Gramma mentioning Danny's and Sam's future like that! Priceless! (and uproarous). And of course, Grannies tend to actually be like that too. ^^ Now, just want to point out something I only noticed because of the pathetically dubbed version of Pokemon (though it did have its moments): "Neither of us is going to have a really normal Thanksgiving until we’re married [...]" Now, take that completely out of context... heh, till they're married! (to each other) ^^ Wonderful thought there...
-"[...]no such thing as a normal Thanksgiving.” Never was and never will be... another awesome line! Love the way you portrayed her grandmother.
One last thing, I must admit the beginning really reminded me of the HA Thanksgiving episode (my favourite special for this holiday). I could completely see Danny's parents being like that... his father being the slightly insane one (like Pooky) and his mother being slightly more reasonable (like Phil). But of course, this story ended up being nothing like that episode and I love it just as much.
LOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVE
(told you the word would be used a lot)
Anyway, love the originality and creativity you put into this and I can't wait for more updates from you! Hope you had a great day and thanks for making mine special (living in Canada, I had Thanksgiving about a month ago so I had nothing better to look forward to today than a test and working on term papers due next Thursday/Friday)
