SavPixie 1/20/06 . chapter 2i'm surprised, but this is pretty good. it always was an odd thing to me that wizards seemed to have no gods of their own... not even in antiquity, when everyone had their own god.
thanks for the coolness. |
Anne 11/29/05 . chapter 2 Alright, now I'm intrigued, what is Dray up to? I can't wait for the next chapter 'cause I want to know. |

fragonknight01 11/28/05 . chapter 2 Hey, interesting so far. You caught my attention because I just mentioned Autumn Equinox in my latest story. (Yeah us!)
anyway, I can't see what is happening so I shall look again later. |
Miss Lesley 11/27/05 . chapter 1This is a interesting plot. I am ashamed that Harry would use flase pretext to go. Yeah the Slytherins might be up to something.
Question why would Hermione know so much about secret rituals and what the slytherins do at the feast. I mean I understand her knowing the hoilday, butthe extra...- |
 Eyeinthesky 11/27/05 . chapter 1New idea! Interesting begining. |
MiniFruitbat 11/26/05 . chapter 1Ok, I HATE it when I check stories and never see a review stuck to them, so I'm trying to get into the habit of sending at least a quick review to every worthwhile story I read. Yours is worthwhile. :) Anyways, though I see no glaring errors in the text (could use a little revision to fix the word choice in places and make the text - as opposed to dialogue - seem a little more "natural"), I think Hermione's explanation of the festival should clarify a bit more about its circumstances. Invitations were only given to purebloods, so is that because only those of pure blood can complete the ritual or because purebloods are understood to be from old wizarding families that would likely observe the religion? Could a half-blood raised as a wizard be expected to take part in the ritual? (I'm assuming that you're treating Snape as a pureblood in this AU. He's not really.)
And on more minor notes concerning dialogue, "'Mione" sounds rather weird unless Ron's mouth is filled with food, and I doubt Hermione would be so blunt as to say "Most of the children of suspected Death Eaters were pulled out of school or transferred to Durmstrang." Referring to that is good, but perhaps it should be a bit more ambiguous. You could always explain it in more detail in the immediately following text.
So anyways, very interesting concept. I have added it to my watched list. |
