In the beginning it almost seemed like he didn't want to marry her the way he called her "dull and boring." I like boy-love. I think it is 100% adorable. On the story side, you make me sad with the shounen-ai/yaoi >_> For all that I can see the pairing, it still makes me weep hot tears and what have you. Moving more seriously to the mechanical side, its a relatively solid piece of work with a few little problems. Word choice and syntactical work could still use a bit of work (a few odd/awkward phrasings stood out ["pretty ladies" stands out as a bit odd, for example] and a couple colloquialisms felt inappropriate). Pacing was quite solid, although I think the piece would have benefitted from you slowing down just a bit and elaborating in a couple spots. All in all, pretty good work. A little more practice and drafting an additional time or two (or getting a proofreader) will make your work really shine. Even this boys love stuff. |
