| Calendar 2006-01-31 ch 1, | abuseThis is one of those times I wish I was any good at constructive criticism or thoughtful detailed reviews, or really, even halfway decent reviews at ALL. This fic really moved me. The tone, Luke's voice, the word choices... it's touching, powerful and emotionally evocative. I felt like crying, except it wasn't sad exactly. I felt like laughing, except it wasn't happy exactly. I felt like... spinning in circles, except it definitely wasn't the sort of thing that should make anyone want to spin in circles. I guess... that it was so emotionally evocative because it was a mix of so many things--a great deal of tragedy, a kind of joy, a perfect conclusion to a life like Anakin's. I know that really made no sense, so I'll just say... Thank you for writing it. |

Would be nice to see everyone's reactions to him announcing that he was honoring his father, especially since most of them thought that Vader had killed him before Luke was even born... *hint,hint* Anyways, good one... I love the thougt that Luke would honor his father, for certainly Anakin did sacrifice so much in his fight against evil. This was a very haunting, and powerful vignette. Incredible work! |
