Aw, that was both dramatic and, weirdly, very cute - you write a good Mustang, and a realistic Scar. It's so much fun reading ka-POW FMA, I'd really forgotten. The only thing that jarred with me was "ground out" (middle of the story, beginning of the fight scene) and that might be a matter of personal preference - to me, it sounds slightly over-the-top, but I tend to have a love affair with 'said' anyway. And the dynamics of Mustang's staff were drawn very nicely, though they didn't appear that much. It's obvious you love the show ^^ all of it...

There's so much I loved about this story that it's hard to know where to start. The action/fight scene was amazing, but I think it's the quieter bits, the parts where you put such care and attention to detail into them, that stand out the most. For example, when you gave that excellent description of how the puppy looked while it slept on Mustang's foot, or the way Hawkeye's voice sounded when telling Mustang about Al's travel arrangements.

And the implied Hawkeye/Mustang feelings were adorably understated. When Falman suggests that Mustang should be the one to thank the couple whose phone call basically saved his life, and Hawkeye says, while touching Mustang's uninjured shoulder, "I'll thank them." - that one simple statement spoke volumes of her feelings for the colonel. Not many writers could pack so much meaning into so few words. It's artistry at its best. Thanks for such a thoroughly enjoyable story!
