abuseThanks for writing this. It was really good. I'm glad Grissom decided to be there for his friend. They've known each other too long for anything else.

Although, I *did* have to remind myself this was before "Way to Go" where Grissom decided not to pull the plug and he was the first person Brass saw when he woke up.

abuseA great story. I liked the part where Catherine was sitting with Jim when he came to.

abuseHee! Poor Brass, you do love to run him through a wringer, but I love the ending of this one--both the redemption and the invitation. And the last line! Oh, she'd look pretty good that way, wouldn't she?

abuseJim's thoughts about feeling shunned by the entire department being alleviated slightly by that one officer. Very nice touch.

I especially enjoyed the end. ;-)

Wonderful story!

abuseThis was awesome! I could so imagine Brass thinking adn feeling all of the things that he did following the shooting. And I could just see the wary looks of the cops who took the call with him. You made everything so real, I could just feel the tension.

I really love how you write Brass, and how you write his and Catherine's relationship.

And then there is Grissom, with his questioning of what Catherine was doing there at the hospital, and his typical placing of work before people/relationships. I was glad that Catherine gave him something to think about.

I am so glad that Jim is okay. And having the other cop come in and thank him was just perfect!

I love reading your work!

abuseYay! I don't want them to follow-up any further, really, with the Officer Bell story, but TPTB could certainly head to Cancun and do a Brass/Catherine story. I can see your story on the little screen (or even the big screen...isn't there going to be a CSI movie someday?)

We can hope, can't we? ;-)

abuseAwesome, awesome, awesome story. You are a superb writer, Ms. Beaujolais! I was in tears with this one!

I hope that you will keep writing such wonderful Brass stories, but would you throw in a Brass/Sara story for me now and again? Thanks!

abuseI loved this story. Not only did it feature Jim and Cath my favorite pair, but I think you hit every emotion Jim's probably feeling dead on. And after the episode "A Bullet Runs Through It" I like to think it was Cath that helped Jim through his tough time. Fantastic job!

abuseThis was great. I've never really been a Cath/Brass fan, but now that I think about it, I've never really entertained the idea. But my curiousity got the better of me, and I had to read this. It made me feel sorry for Brass all over again! In Dog Eat Dog, he was just too... normal. It was weird. It was good to see an idea of how he'd act in a situation like this. Amazing work!

abuseCan't tell you how happy I was to log on and find out you had written another story.

This was great! I felt so sorry for Jim. It did seem as though he came back a bit early. Your portrayal of the other officer's distrust was spot on. In fact the entire thing was spot on. From Brass' inner battle to Catherine's reaction and Grissom's thoughts. Great job.

This was a totally believable plot line and I'm so glad you wrote it.
