Oh, it was such an endearing story, and then you went to that quick flashforward with that last line. Poor Dean. :(

But WOW what a great story! I mean no offense when I say this, but I was expecting to lose interest a couple chapters in (I started reading pretty late at night), but I got so hooked on the way that you wrote all of the drama, I just couldn't stop reading. And I think you just wrote my favorite portrayal of young Dean. SUCH a sweetheart! I wish I had a loving older brother like him while growing up.

I really suck at reviews, but I just wanted to tell you that it was a really great piece of work, and I'm adding it to my favorites. Thanks for the wonderful read.

Okay, I know that this story is finsihed and it is not new, but I just had to stop a review before I start the next part. I just knew this was comming. As sam annoyed dean more, I just knew and I am mentally chanting, no, no, no, don't do it, don't do it. But that does not help, he kicks it anyway. Then as sammy goes onto the road, I am cringing and the breath is hitching and I am thinking about a ad we have over here in australia about a boy that age doing the same thing and getting hit, and I am just cringing. Then gawd, poor sammy and poor dean more!
anyway, great imagary and man I am totally hooked and now, for the next part. will review again at the end, but just had to review now.

I love the last line, "And so he cried"... it tied the whole story together. You wrote the relationship between the brothers so well, and even though I love John in the show, the way you portrayed him strengthened the bond between the boys. Great job!

Aww. Wonderful story; I especially liked the ending, the final angst for Dean; losing his brother to college. And damn, what sibling hasn't done something like Dean did by paying more attention to the girl than his brother...yet if something were to happen they'd all go through exactly the same guilt over it that Dean did. I'm angry because I waited so long to read this brilliant story. Still, the anger I feel for myself right now is overshadowed by the immense adoration I have for this story. Ah, I hope you're VERY very proud of this, because you should be. It was tragically, hysterically beautiful...

This has to be one of the greatest fanfictions I have read on Supernatural. I am happy that I found it after it was complete, I doubt I could have waited for updates!
You captured the two boys perfectly, causing me to cry everytime they did. And, oo, how it made me hate John Winchester.
That was a wonderful way to end the story, with Sam leaving for college and Dean crying again. A part of me wished it hadn't ended though! :)
This story definitly re-inforced my belief that the boys relationship is unbelievable. I always enjoy reading stories from their childhood and this one topped them all!

I've had this story on my alert list since the first chpater. You did an AWESOME job with it. I LOVED the last chapter when Dean pushed his father up against the wall and just started berating him for the way he was treating Sam. I could feel the smile spreading across my face while I was reading it.
