Here's my favorite bit: "He looked into her face, a thousand unspoken questions in both sets of eyes, and searched for some sign that he could continue... They stood and embraced, kissing like teenagers until they were convinced the other knew the depth of their feelings." This is such fun to imagine happening after Hand of god. And I love your ending.
