This is a good fic. Once I started reading it, I couldn't seem to stop. It's such a long read that takes me more than a day to go through all the chapters. I feel so emotionally moved while reading through this story from the couple's tragic loss in the past to Kirihara having lost the chance (at the moment) to be together with Sakuno. The story started out well, but it feels a little rushed nearing the end. However, you did alright with developing the characters.

The Edo Period is interesting. I like the KiriSaku moments. As good as it started when Akahiko and Sakura realized the love they had for each other, it ended in tragedy when the two were separated from each other. Since they've been reincarnated in the Modern Era, the starcrossed lovers will get a chance to reunite but with new memories and seemingly no memories of their past lives. It seems that an old flame has been rekindled after Kirihara first realized his hidden feelings for Sakuno. In his past life, he was the one who first realized his love for her but she doesn't realize her own feelings for him until later. So...It would take more time for Sakuno to come to terms with her hidden past feelings. Kirihara's right when he said in his mind that they weren't fated to love each other yet at the time when he first saw her back then in the middle school because they didn't start a relationship with each other in the Edo Period until they were 15/16 years old. Since things didn't work out between the two, their present reincarnations might be given another chance at requiting that love.

While reading through this story, I can't help but feel sympathetic toward Kirihara because of the current situation not working in his favor even though the RyoSaku moments are okay. I really think Kirihara deserves Sakuno more than Ryoma because he really sacrificed a lot just for her (leaving Rikkai and its tennis team and moving away from his family to be independent), which truly shows his dedication toward Sakuno and how true his love for her is. Kirihara also seems to cherish her the most. When Ryoma asked Kirihara to have a match with him over who gets Sakuno in the end, Kirihara responded by saying that Sakuno is not a prize to be won and that she has her own free will to choose who she wants to be with and it makes it seem that Ryoma doesn't respect her as an individual. To Ryoma, tennis is seemingly the most important to him and winning Sakuno's heart seems to be a game to him because it's something he intends to beat him in. Until Kirihara came along, Ryoma didn't completely notice Sakuno and venture to look beyond his feelings to see the real Sakuno and make his move on her (though I understand his shyness when it comes to love). When Kirihara comes on to her first, he regards her of utmost importance over tennis. As Akahiko, he said that he'll always love her no matter what (which is forever) and Sakura expressed the same for him in return...so they're really meant to be. I hope this fic ends up as a KiriSaku just as it was at the beginning.

The type of grammatical error that I want to point out is your unnecessary use of the comma. A comma isn't needed before propositions like "in" and the conjunction "as," because they generally connect ideas in the same sentence. Putting a comma before them sets them apart from the sentence's main point.

*looks on in curiousity* I wonder if Kirihara will regain his sanity in the upcoming chapter(s). It looks like the only possible way for him to return to normal is for Sakuno to come in touch with her hidden feelings of her past self and reciprocate his love for her, which needs some sort of trigger to activate them (I'm not exactly sure what). Please continue whenever you find the time.

Please make this a kirisaku story >.< There are not many kirisaku stories out there, and I am sick with ryosaku pairing. Moreover, Akaya has sacrificed everything in order to get closer to Sakuno, so he deserves her better. Besides, he will make a better boyfriend than Echizen (who only cares about tennis), judging from the way he treats Sakuno. Please update soon~
