I like the story a lot, and your writing is good too. The only thing that breaks this a little for me probably comes from the fact that you're melding Smallville and TAS... Luthor in TAS absolutely hates Superman, and if he had any inkling of a clue, I'm fairly certain he'd make Clark Kent's a living hell, not protect his secret and wish him luck. This reads much more like a Smallville fic borrowing a scenario from TAS than a TAS story borrowing from Smallville.

All in all however, a read I enjoyed.

Nice little story, it was fun to see Lex's reasoning behind his actions (or lack thereof)
