Ah, I should be sleeping right now so I'm probably too incoherent to leave a proper review, but just wanted to comment that I reallyed liked this -- the dream sequence, Naruto's growth and conflicting feelings about his teammates -- everything (especially the tears), before I added it to my faves.

“Shinobi that don’t protect their comrades are worse than trash.” Kakashi held their wrists – all of their wrists, somehow – and Naruto felt his teacher’s skin like it connected them all. “I didn’t teach you all to be trash, now, did I?”

My god, that part just killed me. It totally blew me away. I keep coming back to this story again and again just to read that part one more time.

(laughs) The dream scene was a trip. I really, really like your Naruto works (I would read the others if I knew the categories, but I don't). Felt a bit like the Mad Tea Party of Konoha, esepically in that both are dreams. Very good job. Have a taco. (gives author a taco. Wanders off)

I must say, I absolutly adored this piece. The undertones and symbolism that run rampant in the dream, and subtle and obvious suggestions and implications give a clear picture into his mind, and reflect the circumstances around it. Brilliantly written and enjoyable to read and Think About.

I don't know why I love this story but I totally do.

It's very, very well worded, something my author-sister hears me refer to as "golden". You have a real talent for writing. It's a relief to come across precious gems like this every once and a while!

I like it! It was good, inspiring and sad. I think the dream ended off sadly because Naruto said he made another promise he wouldn't be able to keep. Great work!

I was blown away by this fic. You actually got them all in character and it was sweet but not sappy and sad but not angsty, and it was GREAT. I sound like a rambly fangirl, but it's true. I just loved the bittersweet undertone to the whole thing. The dream sequence was so FUNNY but NOT and...yeah. NO grammer mistakes or anything, which get's you brownie points. Great work!
