Ah, this story is almost unbearably sweet.

Wow, this sure made my emotions take a rollercoaster ride. At times I was crying with them and at others so happy I nearly brought the house down with my squealing/laughing. I'm desperatingly hoping that you will add the last few chapters, seeing as the story seems to be nearly over. And I'm starved for some Boromir/Merry smoochies ^__^ And if you decide to leave this story unfinished I'd be eternally grateful if you could write me and tell me how it all ends.
Seriously, I adore the way you depict their feelings. It's rare that I read something and can believe that their feelings are well and truly real. I especially liked how the small gestures showed how deeply they felt for each other. Just stunning!
And now I think I'll go hunting for more Boromir/Merry stories, although I'm afraid I won't be able to find anything that will even start to measure up to this one. You really did a great job!

My cheeks hurt from grinning so much and my family must think me crazy because I've been squealing for the last two hours straight, be it in awe or in fear for Merry and Boromir. I adore you! This story is pure bliss.

Oh my god, I'm madly in love with this story! I planned on commenting once I read all 35 chapters, but this chapter made me so happy, I just had to tell you straight away. I love the way you show their relationship and I adore Merry! In other stories he's often just comic relief, but here we see that he's really matured and that he is truly a great man. I'm so happy I found this story, I've never read anything like this before in this fandom. Good, no, excellent job! And now I'll continue reading and probably comment again once I reach the end.

Brilliant! I know that this fic is pretty old but I still want to give these reviews in hopes you are reading them.
Merry/Boromir pairing is something you don't see very often and I absolutely adore this story. It's so beautifully written. It's not just pointless smut like some of the other stories I have seen.

Why the hell doesn't this story have more reviews? Seriously. It's brilliant so far. I really like your writing style and characterization of Boromir is just totally awesome. Too many stories make him look like a bad person. He's not evil, he's not a traitor and he's definitely not rude. He's proud but kind, he has temper but he's also honorable. Definitely not a rude person. You have done such a great job writing him. Good work.

I am really enjoying these bite-sized chapters. It's like snacking on appetizers all evening instead of sitting down to a big meal. I also like how you are splitting the difference between movie and canon, as well as going AU with a surviving Boromir. Merry did stay behind in the Houses of Healing in the book, and it was Pippin who faced the troll at the end, not Aragorn as the movie suggests. I agree with your interpretation of Boromir's mindset in battle, the freedom he has to fight without expectation of living past the moment. Bravo once again!

I must argue a point of canon: Theoden's horse, Snowmane, was white (in both book and movie). I am enjoying your story.
