|Reviews for Shades of Meaning|
| sarcastic rabbit 3/4/06 . chapter 1
This is my favourite of your pieces, except for maybe the Keller, just because it's Keller.
Zara and Florian are my favourite Westmark characters (oh, ok, and Keller, and Mickle, and Sparrow). You capture them so well here. They are just as I saw them having read the books. Zara is so prickly, not knowing her own worth. She's a tragic figure in many ways, but so wonderful and strong. She's a heroine who refuses to admit to it, or to act like one.
You also caught why Florian is the kind of leader who inspires fanatical loyalty and love from his followers. He has perception and vision, and a silver tongue.

Wow, I'm really loving these short little ficlets of yours, Manon! Florian was my other favorite in the "Westmark Trilogy."
I really wondered why anyone should wish to put up with Zara. She's rough and slightly arrogant. I'm sure Florian has his reasons for keeping her on hand.
