And no. I do like Hiei x Kurama, not thaaaaat much, but they're canon it's impossible not to like them even a little. But Since the first time Kenrin appeared and that little small talk Hiei had with Yusuke... You made me hate Hiei.

Yes, I definitely liked that ending. I was impressed by the Kenrin one - by how you dared to write Kurama with an OC for an audience of Hiei/Kurama fans - but it really was sad from Hiei's perspective, even if he didn't think so. No one should be left out in the cold :( Although people really don't have the right to flame you when they voted for that ending xD To add to the sadness, I was listening to a really angsty song as I read it (The Fray's cover of Heartless by Kanye West xD) - and then just as I went on to the alternative ending, a happy song came on! XD NOW IS THAT A SIGN OR WHAT?

P.S I decided to look into that "Two Shots" I was curios and just the day before I saw it so when you mentioned that Maya was in it, I got even more curios and so I read it before I finished reading your fic. cute- I hadn't thought that they met when Kurama was still so young.

"I want it made really clear that I think it's stupid." Ah hahaha So very Hiei. I'm still surprised that he managed to look over his pride and use a ningen way of courting. I'm also a bit surprised that Kurama in this fic enjoys human courtship that much, not that he did not make it clear that he liked youkai version as well.

The first ending, well, I acknowledge that that could happen, although along with a relationship like that, I'd think about the differences between an ancient mind and a rather optimistic human mind. It's a bit of a fairy tale ending, in my opinion. Great job, though, in making it all make sense on top of it all.

Oh, I'm so happy you managed to keep both characters in character, even under the circumstances involving intense emotions like jealousy, which is often warped into overly emo and cheesy drama. I enjoy this fic so far, and I look forward to reading both endings, even though I'm, of course, an avid HK supporter. :)

I got to say that, though I'm as much a fan of HK as anyone else, I think that your original ending (version 1) is actually much more believable. Either way, I definitely enjoyed myself reading. Thank you :)

Dang, after the initial ending, I was hoping that Hiei would get off his martyr-ass and do some serious ass-whopping... Like a rescue-kurama-from-a-foe-stupid-Kenrin-can't-defea t-and-generally

-play-knight-in-shining-armor. Kurama would be near death, and Hiei would finally confess. Cliche, I know, but there's a reason why such an ending are cliche-everyone likes them, so everyone uses them.

Your alternate works, too, though. Even though the very existence of the first ending makes my HK fangirl want to commit murder... :D Fangirl POWER!

*spaz* That was awesome! To be honest I agree in that the original ending is probably better, but I still got a fangirlish squee out of the second ending... and the epilogue left me feeling quite... startled? I don't know! But overall, perfect.

That was adorable. I loved both endings, and you were right both endings could have happened. I will also admit that I liked the second one better... Hiei is my favorite character (Kurama making a very close second) and I couldn't stand for him to be alone! Well gotta run, great fic. Ja ne!

sad...that's how I feel. I want to cry. this is too close to my life...no I'm not hiei but wow, this hurts. when you feel so inadequate that you can't help it...can't do anything...at all...then you watch as someone better comes along and somehow you manage to feel a certin amout of happiness from your dark corner...just at the fact of knowing you love them so much that it's okay that their happy with someone else. But still you feel like crying even though you know you don't have tears left. they just slipped from your hand as if they never really belonged there. Yes... I'm sorry... you know I'm gonna write a fic for you I really loved this somehow... very nice work please keep writing and don't be afraid of writing things that aren't happy or painful.
