| Bobbius Maximus 2006-04-06 ch 14, | abuseWhat a tremendous idea-combining a fantasy with a science fantasy. While there are points where the story struggles with itself, the characters are well researched and the author is obviously well versed in both the Star Wars and Narnia universes. The shortcomings of not being totally versed in Jedi arts (as the Solo children are only teens, and padawan learners) makes the Solo children both heroic and vulnerable at the same time. Though the battle scene with the Solos and Jadis is rather anti-climactic, the story line is easy to follow, and the characters are already well-established. The reactions of the characters to each other is what might be expected with humans from differing dimensions. An interesting proposition, after all... |
