This is my favorite of your three Avatar fics, though I look forward to seeing where the others are going! You seem to have a strong grasp on the characters, and I hope you write more in this fandom.

it's so...good it's hard to explain. it really make you think about him. how you want to be there with him. to comfort him. really good A+.

This was an excellent, excellent story. It is the prime example of how a story should be written, and you have done an awesome job on it. It flowed so well that I didn't pause in it. You have my respect as a writer, and I hope that you continue with your writing. I'd most definitely read it.

So, now that technical edit is out of the way, let's talk about the story. And just... well, it's awesome. Seriously. The words are infused with this wistful bitterness. It almost sounds like Zuko himself is saying this stuff. And it's definitely an original take on why exactly Zuko's been kicked out.

The only plot problem I can see is this - in the beginning of the show, Airoh mentions that this search for the Avatar thing isn't exactly unique to Zuko. Ozai did it, and apparently Sozen did it as well. I'm not altogether certain that this matches with the canon - but this could just be my own ignorance.

It's a good story. Well-done!

HM What am I supposed to say that I havn't already told you in person? This story is amazing...I know you wrote it with your heart in mind, which only makes it a hundred times more better. And really, Iroh trying to squish himself into a closet full of bats? Priceless. Softcore Iroh ** would be much more priceless, though...Hee.

I would say more but my brain is flooding with snot so I can't think of anything good...And now I must pee into Mordor. Of course, that place flooded ages ago...Which is pretty gross if you think about it.

What a well written story, you have such talent for characterization and an excellent way with words. I felt like I was suffering along with Zuko, I could feel his anger and hatred seeping into each phrase, coupled with his determination.

*tries to pull jaw off floor, but fails*
