Hah! I had a random urge to read about Hojo earlier today, and didn't actually expect to find anything this good on FFNet. As others have stated, it's lovely to find something other than Hojo-rapes-so-and-so fics. Great fic; it made me smile- not sure if that's the reaction you were going for though.

I really love this one. Holy **, a Hojo fic!! Holy **, a WELL-WRITTEN Hojo fic, where Hojo isn't rubbing his hands together and going MWA HA HA HA HA. Do you know how precious these things are? Statistically they're like frikkin' DIAMONDS.

Everyone's perfectly in-character, from sneaky, slimy old man Hojo (hey, I said he wasn't mwa-haaing, Hojo always has a pretty good hagfish-like coating of mucuous surrounding him) to Reno being ... well, Reno, to naieve Jessie. Love love LOVE.

Don't let the sad amount of reviews get you down. The better stories are, the less reviews they seem to garner. I know you've been around here for at least as long as I have and already know this, just felt I should point it out. Don't let the bastards grind you down, and PLEASE keep writing FFVII stuff. I beg you.

I think I saw this on or ficwad. Something like that. But hell, I'll review again. Hojo and Jesse. Very cool scene. For once Hojo isn't raping and cutting Vincent or Lucrecia. What a relief to see something different! Some cool descriptions in here, and dialogue as well. Thanks for sharing.
