You need to start a new paragraph when you change subject, or when a new/different character starts speaking. I will, however, compliment you on having several lines of text (which should become several paragraphs) between each chunk of song/poem (whatever that is). And also for setting up the sort of confession between the lovers... so many people that write this pair just have that happen, without explaining the complicated feelings that could motivate such an exchange. You've actually got that explanation there, and it's good. It'd be even better if you spaced properly and used commas, but a beta reader could or would fix that. Long story short, it's good. Could be made better by mechanics, but not a bad story, imo. It's nice to see more people writing about two of my favorite characters. |
