SlvrSoleAlchmst1 12/27/05 . chapter 1Oh gods. I've only read the first paragraph and I can already tell that this is going to be absolutely hysterical.
Oh yeah, I forgot that Yzak got stuck marrying this Shiho chick. Bwahaha. Poor guy. I'm sure she's nice though. Although, if I'd had my way I'd have paired him up with someone equally or more bitchy than him...though perhaps Shiho can hold her own against him. I can't really tell yet. She's not a character from Destiny, is she? That was rhetorical. Don't answer that! 'Cause if she is, then I don't know anything about her yet and it won't make sense anyway. And hopefully if she is, you engaging her to Yzak was your own doing and not something that happens in the Destiny series...'cause if it happens in the series then I guess that's kind of a spoiler for me. Damn, I hate spoilers. But I could be over reacting. Maybe Shiho is one of your own characters from a story I haven't read yet? Maybe I should just shut up. Yeah, that sounds good.
"Unhand me, you bastard!" Bwahaha. Nice line. And orb has it's own shopping district. Woot. WHAT? Dearka is lactose-intolerant? Oh man, you could have some fun with that... Ha, and now they're all arguing over whether it's true. That's too funny. Oh man, I can see this is going somewhere hysterical. You have a great sense of humor when it comes to writing these types of scenes. I'm laughing already and nothing happened yet. Whatever it is is Yzak's fault. I love that. Ah, and the truth comes out. Spoiled milk! Well geez, it isn't Yzak's fault that Dearka left the stuff rotting in his fridge! Hahaha. And now he has to drink it to face his fears. That's awesome.
"if he squinted just enough, he might just see the words “drink milk” wrinkled on their brows." BWAHAHA. OMFG. "happily playing house with the penguins"? Oh gods, that was funny.
Oh boy, those two alone in the kitchen. Should I fear the results? "I’m always waiting for everyone to leave us alone." Well, that was hot. Aw, the ending of that whole scene was adorable. I like Cagalli's theory on Santa Claus. It's sweet. And she and Wthrun get a cute moment too. Aww, I like this. And Kira and Lacus befriending the old owner of one of the shops. That seems so cute and typical of the two of them, doesn't it? Now, as far as "upstairs" goes, what does miss sneaky Lacus have planned? Aw, Lacus, you don't need material gifts! You cutie, so worried about what to give your Kira. WHOA! KIRA! EASY THERE, DOWN BOY! Jumpin' on Lacus like that. What a kiss. Wow. Didn't know he had THAT in him. (I love zealously overreacting when it comes to those two.)
Christmas ham...M...Oh geez. No way! Yzak showed up! And he's a "racket machine". *snirk* Bwaha. Yes, I love that guy. Ha, Murrue brought them chanpagne? Hahaha. Naughty naughty Captian of the Archangel. Yay, and what happy ending. I liked the ties to your Halloween fic, too.
Oh gosh, you said you wouldn't be able to cram and write a New Year's fic, and that made me laugh because that's exactly what happened to me when I was writing my SEED Christmas fic. We didn't get out of school until the day before Christmas Eve, and I was so busy. I pounded out the whole second half the day of Christmas, before company came over and after I opened my presents with my family. Talk about a cram session. I want to write a better one, so I decided for my New Year's fic I'd start writing early. Problem is, I still haven't thought of a good enough plot. And while my Christmas fic was kind of sad, I want to make this one happy and funny, and include all the characters I had to leave out in the Christmas one. But enough babbling. My review is already too darn long.
Great story - you've inspired me once again. YAY! |
Man 12/23/05 . chapter 1Yet again, you amaze me with your magical linguistic abilities. This story, along with the Halloween fic you mentioned are truly works of art. I commend you on such a good job, and can only wait until you write the next special. Who knows, maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to weave this into one big story, doing a chapter for each holiday. I, for one, would think that to be a great idea. |
