Thanks for getting this going again - I love this story so far, even with the grim turn. Axel is a fascinating character - I'm really enjoying the other story your writing with his AU, so blending him in here is an interesting twist! I can see Sands not liking him - what do they always say about those who are too much alike not being able to get along? (LOL) With what you say and what I see so far about Axel reminding you so much of Sands, that's automatic friction - like Sands looking in the mirror and seeing green eyes and red hair!

A hopefully constructive comment - the only confusing thing about this chapter is the switch from first-person to third-person narrative when Axel shows up...
