that was beautiful! especially the last sentence. it ties in so well to what they were discussing before goku was attacked. i had forgotten all about the cliffhanger, but this has me desperate for the january issue! goku and sanzo are so alike in some ways, it's touching.

once again, well done.

I'm delighted to see you taking on Hazel's character. I think you've managed to capture the essence of his personality here, in all his infuriating, well-mannered cruelty.

What I also really appreciate about this story is the sense of restrained emotion it contains, which feels so painfully realistic coming from Sanzo. This story hurts, compelling the reader to want to feel all the anger and grief that Sanzo is holding inside.

Hopefully, if you feel so inclined, we readers can look forward to seeing more of Hazel in future stories of yours.

Damn, this is probably the best Sanzo loosing Goku (death) fic I have seen. Nice job and so Sanzo and even Hazel.
