I don' know why I never reviewed this story. It's one of my favorite pieces of SSHG fanfiction, EVER, and I come back to reread it every once in a while. Simple, evocative, well-written. :)

Lovely. Just lovely. Fluffy yes but balenced by the angst, one of those wonderful endings that make your insides squirm and a goofy grin spread across your face; lovely.

First, I must give credit where credit is due - I found your story soley due to Kyra4 adding a minicommercial for it at the bottom of the story that she wrote for you - Worth Waiting For. For a Dramione shipper, she certainly did a good job with Hermione/Severus.

Anyway, enough about her, I enjoyed your ficlet immensely. It took me a moment to realise that Severus was under disguise, but that's solely on me for not always being terribly observant.

I enjoy your style of writing, it's oddly soothing, even during the stressful, dangerous parts of the story, which, incidently, keeps me reading. I don't read stories that are jarring and disonant, I have enough of that type of thing in real life.

So, you've NOT disappeared into the vast void of RL. I was beginning to think that you'd gone far, far away never to return.

But, you're back. And still doing Snape/Hermione...

Well, you know me, I'll read anything you write, so here I am - reading anything you write...

And you do write so very well...But, I think I STILL love your interaction between Draco and Hermione best.

Anywho, like you don't already KNOW that by now.

So, this was a cute little oneshot. I didn't get the feel that they had this great love, but so what, right? It was war and people have attractions and fondness for each other and that's all you need in the beginning to get to the good, gooey stuff in the middle.

I thought Hermione was quite forgiving and for Snape to search endlessly for three years for her? Well, to tell you the truth, I can TOTALLY see him doing that, getting so absorbed into a project or person that he puts all other things aside until he gets the desired response.

This was sweet and happy all in all and I thought it so adorable that Hermione was attracted to his voice before anything more. So like her. And, I laughed when Snape was talking about Hermione being well schooled in potions...hahaha.

Anyway, it's New Year's Eve - er Morning 2006! I was just doing some late night cruising and thought I'd pop on over and say Hiya!

Ah. Interesting, as always. I'll be honest and say your summary gave me the giggles in this brief time I set aside for fanfics. It's like the 'butthead' moment in Legally Blonde. Leave you a bit nonplussed.

Lovely way of starting a fic. No going into tortured lovers' and their angst, instead you take the angst away and filter it down later. Sweet!

So... I'm feeling better enough to park my ass in front of the computer, at least for a few minutes. Definitely an improvement over the last couple of days. Of course, I just took two 80Omg motrins AND a vicodin, which is about three times the dose of painkillers I'm supposed to take, so that helps somewhat. Stupid leg.

Well, on to the story. Aw, it's sweet! And a german chocolate shop... what on earth could have been your inspiration for that?!? The row of happy freed house elves in their knobbly little hats was too cute- really, Sevvie ought to have known right then.

Their interaction in the flashback was sweet... I loved the way you showed his thoughts in juxtaposition to his actions here:

"Severus felt heat rush to his face. It was a very good moment to say something along the lines of “You’re a very nice girl, Hermione, but I want to clarify that that is the only way I think of you” or “Damn you, Gryffindor. Why don’t you utilize a little more subtlety so I can reject you without damaging your pride” or “If it hadn’t been for this war, I would still be your teacher” or “I am Voldemort’s right-hand man and you’re a Muggle-born” or even “Well, back to headquarters, then.” Instead, he followed her down the aisle. He didn’t say a word."

And then he left her there, thinking her safe, and- One major guilt-trip; check. I love those! I loved him scooping her into his arms! Aw. Blood everywhere... you know what a morbid lil thang I am!

And then he dedicated his entire life to searching for her! And how once he finds her, for the longest time he just can't accept that she felt for him as deeply as he did for her, even when she's standing right there and *telling* him so! Ugh! Men!

She finally got through to him though... lurved the ending! I'm gonna put up the first chapter of mine tomorrow night. The first chapter at least will go up here. After that, I don't know. Anyway, I'm sure I'll be talking to you (and seeing you) soon!
